I took a quick trip to Cali {Long Beach to be exact} this weekend to visit one of my besties {Hey Em!} from college. And true to form we shopped, ate, and shopped some more. Of course there was wine and a good amount of gossip involved too. Not to mention perfect 80 degree sunny weather. 

But now I'm back home in Ohio - where the temperatures are hovering around freezing and political ads never end. Now its time to figure out how to get my internal clock back on EST.

In honor of Delta Zeta's Founder's Day, I'm wearing my sorority colors. It's crazy to believe that this year marks the 10th anniversary of my joining DZ {where has the time gone?!} You may be thinking, "wow Liz time to let this sorority thing go", but if you're a sorority woman I hope you can appreciate this post.

10 years ago I made a decision to join greek life and that decision changed my life for the better. I made best friends, became a better person {by way of a mistake or two - it was college after all}, and experienced lessons that I doubt I would have learned otherwise. Delta Zeta gave me opportunities {and even my first job}, taught me not to take myself so seriously, and made my 4 years of college even more memorable.

If you're a DZ reading this Happy Founder's Day! Here's to another 110 enriching years!

A Day at the Races

Although I would certainly wear this to work, I actually wore this on Saturday for homecoming. While this dress isn't traditional UK colors {it's actually the opposite}, it was perfect to wear to Keeneland. If you don't know about Keeneland, it's a horse racing track in Kentucky that's open 8 weeks out of the year {and the annual way my friends and I celebrate homecoming}. But more importantly it's a great reason to put your best dress on, enjoy a cocktail, and watch the ponies. Now if only our football team had won it would have been an even better weekend!

Hey everyone, remember me? You know the girl who used to blog regularly but then got bogged down with school work and work trips? Well I survived finals and celebrated by splurging on this new outfit. To be honest it wasn't a complete splurge, I had been eying this skirt for a while and just hadn't had the time to shop {is that anyone else's worst nightmare?}.

While I do really enjoy school, it was nice to have a weekend to do things like shop, hang out with friends, and celebrate homecoming at my alma mater. Plus I have a non work trip planned to California later this week! I'd say things are looking up for this girl.

Dressing for Finals

Despite having little time for blogging {thanks finals}, I am still getting dressed and working {albeit I've been running late all week}. Hopefully I will be back to normal posting next week, but in the mean time here's a quick glimpse at a few of my recent outfits!

2 Weeks

I had every intention of posting these photos right after they were taken....two weeks ago. But things like an impromptu work trip to the West Coast, too much school work, and 3 games of Reds playoff baseball got in my blogging way. But given my obsession with animal print there was no way this outfit wasn't going to make it to the blog.

I'm  hoping to get back into my normal routine after I finish finals {and catch up on sleep} next week!
