I've been living in these black jeans from Madewell. But it's getting to that point where the humidity has become unbearable and that means jeans are reserved for unseasonably cool nights only. Which is such a pity, because I do really love these guys. It's not even truly summer yet but the humidity in Cincinnati has been relentless. At this rate I can only imagine July and August will be brutal. But on the bright side, its perfect weather for swingy, loose tops like this gem.

Flower Power Suit
Okay, power suit might be taking it too far but this is definitely my kind of summer suit. An easy, colorful dress and a blazer to pull it all together. Keeping with my less or more mantra lately, I added a simple belt to pull it all together and my favorite summer wedge.
But can we talk about this dress for a minute? I had been eying it at the Gap for a while. The colors and cut are my style to a tee. If you're looking for a fun feminine dress for the summer I highly recommend this gem. Plus knowing Gap you can snag it on super sale if you play your cards right.

Minimalist Summer Uniform
Top: Banana Republic • Jeans: Madwell • Bag: Rebecca Minkoff • Shoes: Franco Sarto
Lately I've been gravitating towards simple, easy to thrown on pieces. And this outfit pretty much captures that feel. In fact, I wore this shirt two days in a row because, well, it really is that easy to throw on. It's a perfect summer look if you ask me. No layers or jewelry to fuss over. But still interesting and fun. Pretty much what I am looking for in a minimalist summer uniform.
